Buffalo ghee vs cow ghee: how to choose
Buffalo milk has more fat than cow milk, so buffalo ghee tends to be creamy and rich. Cow ghee is usually lighter, with a grainier texture. Colour varies with the season and the animal’s feed, and buffalo ghee is often paler than cow ghee.
Neither is better in every kitchen. Choose buffalo ghee if you like a rich, full flavour in halwa, parathas and dal. Choose cow ghee if you prefer something lighter.
Our farm keeps buffaloes, so KUMUD is buffalo ghee. See the ghee.
